The Sidestreet Story

Sidestreet was born from my love of travel and curiosity about the world. Since my first international trip to South America, I’ve been hooked on learning about other cultures and ways of life. I like being in the middle of a chaotic city taking in the sights, smells, and sounds and adapting on the fly. Comparatively, I feel right at home in a remote town or village when I need a slower pace to life.

The beauty of travel is the unexpectedness, which comes from being open, curious, and adventurous. I’ve made incredible friends, for life, by pushing myself outside my comfort zone to experience the most of my trips. The Sidestreet ethos is to wander with an open mind while trying things that are a bit more off the beaten path. The focus of this blog is to delve into the local culture, wander like a local, and convey these experiences to you, the reader.
